Important Notes
- This DBS/POSB Debit Card (“Card”) can be used at ATMs and for PIN-based transactions at selected merchants in Singapore and at Maestro or Cirrus enabled merchants overseas. It also allows you to sign for local and overseas purchases and perform contactless payment via MasterCard® PayPass™, card-not-present transactions (such as online, mail and phone orders), which shall be paid for by directly deducting the transaction amount(s) from your bank account.
- As a Debit Card carries risks of unauthorised signature-based or card-not-present transactions, the MasterCard Debit Limit for signature-based and card-not-present transactions is set at S$0.
You may increase the MasterCard Debit Limit upon activation#.
#Limit is shared between signature-based transactions, contactless payment with MasterCard® PayPass™ and card-not-present (such as online, phone and mail orders) transactions. - Before you use this new Card, please read the DBS Debit Card Agreement that is enclosed with the Card.
- If your Card is lost, stolen or if the PIN has been compromised, you must notify us immediately. You should also make a police report and provide us with a copy of the report and in certain
circumstances accompanied by written confirmation of the loss/theft/ disclosure and any other information that we may require. Once we establish, with your assistance, that the loss or theft of your Card or PIN compromise was not due to your fault or negligence, your liability for unauthorised transactions effected after such loss, theft or unauthorised disclosure but before we are notified thereof shall be limited to S$100.
You will not be liable for any transactions carried out after you have notified us. We will refund the amounts deducted from your bank account for unauthorised transactions, in excess of the applicable liability cap, within 14 working days from the time you submit all the necessary information to us. - Your POSB ATM Card will be replaced by the new POSB GO! Debit Card that you are applying for. The account(s), ATM Card limit and NETS limit of your new POSB GO! Debit Card will follow your existing POSB ATM Card.
- The Card will be sent to the mailing address of the primary account as per the Bank’s record at your sole risk. Please ensure that your primary account mailing address is up to date.
- Your signature will be verified against any of your signature records with DBS Bank Ltd (“the Bank”). Please ensure that the signature on the application form matches the Bank’s record.
Declaration
- I request you to issue and continue to issue me with the Debit Card applied for herein until I/you terminate the Card.
- I confirm that at the time of this application, I am not an undischarged bankrupt and no statutory demand has been served on me nor any legal proceedings commenced against me.
- I hereby declare and warrant that the information given in this application and all documents submitted to you are complete, true and accurate and belong to you absolutely and that I have not willfully withheld any material fact. If any of the information given herein changes or becomes inaccurate in any way, I shall immediately notify you of any such change or inaccuracy.
- I hereby authorise and give you consent to conduct credit checks on me (including but not limited to checks with the credit bureau recognised as such by the regulatory authorities) and obtain and verify and/or to disclose or release any information relating to me and/or any of my account(s) from or to any other party or source as you may from time to time deem fit at your own discretion for the purpose of this application without any liability or notice to me.
- I agree that a PIN and the Card shall be sent to me by mail to my/our billing address at my own risk. I understand that it is my responsibility to take necessary precautions to safeguard my Card and PIN.
- I am aware that my Card may be used for Point-of-Sale (PIN, signature or contactless payment with MasterCard® PayPass™ or card-not-present (online, mail or phone order) transactions and I understand that the safekeeping of my Card is critical to prevent unauthorised transactions.
- Notwithstanding that my primary account may be operated by way of thumbprint and/or signature, by signing on this application, I authorise you to debit directly from my primary account linked to the Card any payment or withdrawal made via the Card.
- I agree to be bound by the DBS Debit Card Agreement (as may be amended by the Bank from time to time), a copy of which will be sent with the Card; can also be accessed at http://www.dbs.com.sg/personal/cards; and can be obtained by calling telephone number at 1800 1111 111.
- I agree that I am responsible for all transactions made with the Card, and am responsible for all liabilities which may be incurred in respect of the Card.
- I agree that you may approve or decline this application at your discretion (such discretion to be exercised reasonably) without providing any reason.
- If this application is or is purported to be given or sent by me to you by facsimile transmission, you are hereby authorised by me, but are not obliged to accept, reply upon and act in accordance with the faxed copy of the application without waiting for the original application and without any liability to me.

1. How do I qualify for this lucky draw?
To qualify for the Draw, you must successfully perform one of the following Card upgrades during the Qualifying Period (1 May 2013 to 31 December 2014):
- a) For existing DBS/POSB ATM cardholders as of 31 August 2013, you must terminate your existing magnetic-stripe only DBS/POSB ATM Card and successfully perform either of the following:
- activate your new DBS/POSB Debit Card or DBS/POSB Chip ATM Card; or
- link your DBS/POSB current/savings account to your existing DBS/POSB Credit Card;
- For new DBS/POSB customers, such Eligible Customers must open a new DBS/POSB current/savings account from 1 September 2013 to 31 December 2014, and apply for and successfully activate their new DBS/POSB Chip ATM Card or Debit Card.

3. Will I qualify for this lucky draw if I have upgraded my magnetic-stripe only ATM Card to a Debit Card or linked my POSB/DBS current/savings account to my POSB/DBS Credit Card in May 2013?
4. How can I earn additional chances for the Draws?
One (1) Draw chance will be allocated to every Eligible Customer for every S$50 retail transaction via NETS, Visa, MasterCard or American Express® charged to any upgraded Cards (Qualified Card) during the Qualifying Period. Retail transaction excludes bill payments, cash withdrawals, fund transfer, card fees and late charges.
5. I do not have a magnetic-stripe only ATM Card. Will I be able to participate in the draws for my new Debit Card that I applied recently via iBanking/Branch?
6. What do you mean by linking my POSB/DBS current/savings account to my POSB/DBS Credit Card?
7. My current magnetic-stripe only POSB/DBS ATM Card is linked to my POSB Savings account and DBS current account. Will I get to participate in this lucky draw if I link both accounts to my POSB/DBS Credit Card? Will I get double chances for linking the 2 accounts?
8. How are the chances calculated base on spending?
Every S$50 worth of retail spend will be entitled to one (1) chance. Lucky Draw Chances are computed and allocated every 2 months, from 1 September 2013 to 31 December 2014, based on your total retail spending (excluding bill payments, cash withdrawals, fund transfer, card fees and late charges) via NETS, Visa, MasterCard and/or American Express®
Allocated Lucky Draw Chances are accumulative, eligible for both Bi-monthly Draw and Grand Draw.

Example: On your qualifying card, if you make a MasterCard transaction of S$70 and NETS transactions of S$140 during the promotional period of September 2013, you will be entitled to four (4) additional chances based on your total spending of $210 on the new upgraded card for the first Draw on 13 November 2013.

A total of 7 Bi-monthly lucky draws will be conducted on the following dates:

Lastly, the grand draw will be conducted on 23 January 2015.
13. If I have won in the Bi-monthly draw, will I still be entitled to the next Bi-monthly draw and Grand Draw?
You are entitled to win only once in the Bi-monthly draw, regardless of the number of ATM cards you own. If you have won in the Bi-monthly draw, you will still be entitled to the Grand Draw.
14. If I have won in the Bi-monthly Draw, are my chances earned to date, still valid for the Grand Draw?
Yes, your accumulated chances earned from date of card upgrade till the Grand Draw, regardless of whether you won in the bi-monthly draw, will contribute to your total chances for the Grand Draw.
15. Can I request for the cash prize to be issued as cheque to me?
No. We regret to inform you that we will only credit your winnings to your bank account that is linked to the new upgraded Card. We will not be able to credit your winnings to another account.
16. How will I know that I have won the lucky draw?
The winners of the Bi-monthly Draw and the Grand Draw will be published on POSB website, in a local English-language newspaper within seven (7) calendar days from the Draw Date. The winners will also be notified by ordinary post within fourteen (14) working days from the respective Draw Dates, at the winners’ mailing address in DBS’ records. The list of winners will also be published on the Great Singapore ATM Card Upgrade webpage www.posb.com.sg/upgrade.
